Our Commitment to Christ-Centered Design
Every FaithVault feature must support our mission of helping believers know Jesus, remember His faithfulness, and point others to Him.
We will not design experiences that suggest spiritual growth can be purchased, earned, ranked, or measured through app activity.
Features, language, and engagement tools should direct attention to Christ rather than to FaithVault itself.
1. FaithVault: A Private Place to Meet with Jesus
We commit to creating a personal environment where believers can intentionally spend time with Jesus through Scripture, prayer, reflection, and response.
We will:
- Treat the individual’s private relationship with Jesus as foundational to the experience.
- Encourage consistent engagement without suggesting that streaks, completion counts, or activity levels determine spiritual maturity.
- Place Scripture at the center of Bible studies and daily discipleship experiences.
- Provide meaningful reflection opportunities without requiring users to reach predetermined conclusions.
- Respect the personal nature of prayer, spiritual questions, and private reflections.
- Never require public participation as a condition of using the private FaithVault experience.
Our guiding question: Does this feature help believers recognize the value of spending time with Jesus in His Word and encourage them to return to Him, rather than simply increasing activity within the app?
2. FaithAccount: A Meaningful Record of His Faithfulness
We commit to helping believers intentionally remember their faith journeys through an account of God’s faithfulness.
We will:
- Provide opportunities to preserve meaningful Scripture passages, prayers, experiences, reflections, and testimonies.
- Encourage believers to revisit earlier records and consider how their understanding of God and His Word has developed.
- Treat spiritual assets as reminders of God’s faithfulness, never as spiritual currency, achievements, or proof of God’s favor.
- Encourage reflection without claiming to interpret God’s purposes on behalf of the individual.
- Keep Scripture as the primary resource for evaluating and understanding personal experiences.
- Give users meaningful control over their personal records.
Our guiding question: Does this feature help believers remember God’s faithfulness and recognize how their relationship with Him has developed?
3. FaithShare: An Invitation to Make Him Known
We commit to encouraging believers to point others to Jesus through their personal stories and relationships.
We will:
- Make sharing through the app voluntary.
- Never suggest that a believer must publish a testimony to demonstrate faithfulness.
- Encourage personal witness beyond the app, including everyday conversations, relationships, and participation in Christian community.
- Create opportunities for believers to share stories that honor Jesus and encourage others.
- Help users recognize visible connections between shared testimonies and faith journeys where those connections are willingly disclosed.
- Avoid presenting a visible network as a complete measure of God’s work or the full influence of any believer.
- Celebrate the work of Christ rather than the popularity, reach, or recognition of individual users.
Our guiding question: Does this feature encourage people to make Jesus known, or does it place attention on the person sharing?
4. Privacy, Consent, and Personal Ownership
We commit to respecting the trust believers place in FaithVault when recording personal spiritual experiences.
We will design toward these standards:
- Private FaithVault reflections and FaithAccount records remain private unless the user deliberately chooses to share specific content.
- Users should understand what information is shared, with whom, and for what purpose.
- Sharing should require an intentional action, not occur automatically because content was recorded.
- Users should have clear controls to manage, withdraw, or delete content they have shared, subject to clearly disclosed technical and legal limitations.
- FaithShare connections should not expose another person’s identity, spiritual history, or participation without appropriate consent.
- Personal spiritual information should not be treated as a resource for public engagement or advertising without clear, appropriate authorization.
Privacy is not merely a technical feature. It is a responsibility arising from the personal nature of an individual’s relationship with Jesus.
5. Scripture-First Content
We commit to developing studies and discipleship resources that direct users into God’s Word.
Our content will:
- Begin with Scripture rather than human commentary.
- Offer essential biblical and historical context without unnecessarily determining the reader’s conclusions.
- Encourage careful understanding of the passage before personal application.
- Use questions that invite reflection rather than assume personal failures, experiences, or predetermined responses.
- Avoid presenting personal interpretations as equivalent to biblical authority.
- Remain faithful to the meaning and context of Scripture.
- Encourage believers to seek wisdom through prayer, Scripture, and trusted Christian community.
Our guiding question: Will the reader leave more impressed with our explanations, or more eager to know Jesus through His Word?
6. Integrity in Testimony and Community
We commit to encouraging truthful, gracious, and respectful interaction.
We will seek to:
- Encourage stories that accurately reflect the experiences of the individuals sharing them.
- Discourage comparison, competition, spiritual superiority, and manipulation.
- Respect differences in personal experiences and spiritual journeys.
- Avoid treating testimony popularity, visible influence, or community participation as evidence of spiritual worth.
- Establish clear community standards for respectful interaction.
- Take reasonable steps to protect users from harassment, coercion, impersonation, and misuse of shared personal information.
7. Unity Without Replacing the Church
FaithVault is intended to support the body of Christ, not replace it.
We commit to encouraging meaningful connection, mutual encouragement, prayer, and active involvement in local Christian community.
Our product should help believers grow in love for God and others without presenting the platform as the center of their spiritual lives.
We seek unity around Jesus Christ and the truth of Scripture, with humility and love toward fellow believers.
8. Technology in Service of Discipleship
We commit to using technology as a tool rather than treating engagement as the ultimate measure of success.
We will evaluate product decisions in light of their effect on the user’s relationship with Jesus, ability to remember God’s faithfulness, and willingness to encourage others.
We will be cautious about features that create unnecessary comparison, pressure, dependency, or distraction.
Where technology can illuminate meaningful connections among believers, we will communicate its limitations clearly.
We will not claim to quantify the Holy Spirit’s work, measure the depth of someone’s faith, or trace every consequence of a decision to follow Jesus.
9. Accountability to Our Governing Beliefs
These commitments are intended to guide the development, review, and ongoing operation of FaithVault.
New features, partnerships, content, community practices, and business decisions should be evaluated against our governing beliefs.
When a product decision conflicts with our commitment to Christ-centered discipleship, Scripture, personal privacy, truthful testimony, or unity in the body of Christ, we commit to reconsidering that decision.
Our mission must govern the technology, not the other way around.
Our Product Promise
A private place to know Jesus.
A meaningful account to remember His faithfulness.
An invitation to make Him known.
All for the purpose of drawing attention to Jesus Christ.
